October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This international health campaign is now in its fourth decade. Its purpose is to raise awareness of breast cancer and to increase funding to prevent, diagnose, treat and cure breast cancer – a disease that afflicts over 270,000 women every year in the U.S. alone.
